Today for 'Awesome Time' Room 7 competed in a series of sprint car trials. As none of the students held a current NZ drivers license (being 10 years old and all that) they could not legally drive a car around the school...however they could legally push one! So, in groups of 8, they took turns at pushing a 1992 Toyota Corona down a 30m sprint track. Each run had a fully qualified and specially chosen driver! They had the important job of making sure the car remained straight and crossed the finish line, between the cones. It was a tight race, but Team 3 took it out on the day with a fantastic time of 19.2 seconds! Here are some photos of the afternoon's action.
