Yesterday {3rd of May} we went to Room 8 and learnt about escaping water. We poured water into one glass and the other glass was empty and then got two paper towels and wrapped them together like a rope and put one end in the glass with the water and the other end in the empty glass. When we got to school in the morning we found that each glass was half full.
On Tuesday the 3rd of May, Room7 made ooblik which is a type of gooey gunge. First we tried to splash Archie with green ooblik by slapping our hand onto a plate of liquid ooblik by his face. Sadly, it didn’t work because ooblik, when hit or moved quickly becomes a solid!
We then got to make our own using cornflour and water. We also chose what colour we wanted out of green or red food colouring. After we made the ooblik we got to play around with it. It was mind-blowingly fun!!!
Here is the recipe so you can make ooblik at home:
Ingredients to make Ooblik
1. 1 cup of water
2. ½ cup cornflour
3. Food colouring to make it look nice
4. Mixing bowl
5. Strong spoon
Method
1. Put half a cup of cornflour into a mixing bowl
2. Add food colouring into a cup of water
3. Then pour the water into the mixing bowl while stirring
4. HAVE FUN PLAYING WITH YOUR OOBLIK!
