My teacher wasn't half as nice as yours seems to be.
By Roald Dahl 'My teacher wasn't half as nice as yours seems to be. His name was Mister Unsworth and he taught us history. And when you didn't know a date he'd get you by the ear And start to twist while you sat there quite paralysed with fear. He'd twist and twist and twist your ear and twist it more and more. Until at last the ear came off and landed on the floor. Our class was full of one-eared boys. I'm certain there were eight. Who'd had them twisted off because they didn't know a date. So let us now praise teachers who today are all so fine And yours in particular is totally divine.' Room 7 loves David Guetta and today we saw an amazing recent video of his song Titanium sung not by Sia, but by a lady called Justine Taton whom he found on Youtube. What is so amazing about this video is the 4D light show in the background. Very impressive! Have a look. This week, in keeping with Anzac Day, Room 7's challenge is to memorise the famous World War 1 poem "In Flanders Field"
Today Room 7 continued "Operation Classroom Tree" with a round of base-coat painting. By lunchtime we had the makings of the White Tree of Gondor! Tomorrow we add the colour. Here are a few photos of Round 2.
To kick off Term 2, Room 7 is building a giant tree for the middle of the classroom. The reason for this is only known by a chosen few (well...Room 7), but all will be revealed in the not too distant future. Anyway, below are some photos of the last few day's events. Messy...? Totally! Fun...? Well see for yourself!
Hello Room 7! I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday! Let us know what you have been up to here in the comment section (think of it as "Room 7 News" but online!) We'd love to hear from you.
A HUGE thank you to everyone in Room 7 for such an awesome first term! We have achieved so many great things and you have all worked so hard! A big thank you also to all the parents and family members who have been a terrific support to their children over the last 10 weeks.
I really hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday and I look forward to seeing you all back, rested and ready, for an even more exciting term in Room 7! Don't forget to keep up your journals and check back here on our blog regularly for new and exciting updates! Be safe out there and remember... it's all part of it! - Mr Walker Last week, Monica brought in her completed "dream bedroom in 3d" homework project. It was amazing! Based around her love for the books (and movie) Pippi Longstocking, it was a little creative masterpiece! Check out the photos below to see just what a fantastic job she did! Well done Monica!
