Last poetry recitation test for the term tomorrow 11am - The Charge of the Light Brigade, verses 4 - 6. After last week's amazing effort with verses 1-3, I am confident that we should all get across the line and have the whole poem memorised! I can't wait!

As promised (in previous post) here are the Avatars we made today. When put side by side, many of them ended up looking rather similar! Hmmm... must be a few family members (and even twins) among the Room 7 Avatars! If you hover your mouse over each pic, it will tell you which Room 7 person (in real life) it is of.
Today, Room 7 made our own Avatars. We used Clay Yourself which makes some of the coolest avatars we have ever seen. We will post all our completed Avatars in the next few days, but for now, here is the link to the site! Enjoy!
We are all better when we work as a team... this (incredibly funny!) video proves it! Enjoy. Today at Team Singing, Room 7 won the Golden Microphone! To top off a brilliant afternoon, Jacko won the award for the most outstanding singer/participator! Well done Jacko and awesome work Room 7!!! Rock stars, every one of you!
Here is a great new game to practice your basic facts speed... shooting fruit! It doesn't get much better than that!
This afternoon, as part of our journal adventure, we sat outside in the sun (which was great!) and for 10 minutes recorded all of the sounds that we heard. We were all so amazed just how noisy it was, on what we thought was a peaceful afternoon.
Here is a list of all the things that we heard. The bigger the word, the more people heard it. The tiny words are the ones that only the "super listeners" could hear. Who would have imagined that the Russley School field could be so noisy! This week Room 7 have been set their first journal challenge. They have been given an envelope to stick in their journal and over the coming week they have the task of putting into it, any items that they find on the street. The purpose is to help them become more attentive to their surroundings; helping to make the ordinary interesting as this will be most important heading into next term's journal challenges!
To help them take a closer look at the world we viewed "The Little People Project" which is a street art concept based on tiny figurines and the little things that people often overlook. Click on the picture below to check it out! That's right! Half a league, half a league, half a league onwards...
Monday 11pm - Your chance to go up to level 4! This is your last night to practise so go for it! If you need another copy then click on the picture below and it will take you through to the poem. Good luck... into the valley of death rode the six hundred. Team 3 has a new online home! "The Hub" is a place where you can access all the information you need to find out about what is going on in "The Rockstar Syndicate". Here you will find links to all our class blogs and we encourage you to check them out and leave comments about all the amazing things we are doing! Click on the picture below to begin!
