Today Hazel bought in 2 Tiger Slugs for Room 7 to keep as pets! These were found by her mum at the garden centre where she works. We were very excited and we all decided that we needed a proper home for them. Tiger Slugs (or Limax Maximus) are omnivore which mean they eat both greens (like leaves and grass) and meat (like bugs). So while some of us helped to prepare a new home for them, the rest of the class went out on a bug catching mission (to find live food for the hungry slugs!). Here are some photos of the morning's events. Missed the latest school newsletter? You can read it below. In Room 7 we have a large tank with 2 very active fish! Today we voted, and after a close final count came up with 2 new names. And so, we introduce to you, (from the left) Splash and K.F.C!
Russley school is so lucky to have Mrs Ward helping us with all our I.C.T needs. Part of her work has been to put together the Russley School Online Learning Wiki. On this page you can access lots of extra games and activities to help you with your homework. Record any activities that you did on your homework sheet. Here is an amazing video called the Joy of Books. It was made by a group of friends in a bookshop over many sleepless nights! They moved, stacked, and shifted all the thousands of books one by one, filming them one photo at a time. They then ran them together at high speed to create this amazing stop-motion animation about what magical things might go on in a bookshop after hours. Check it out below! The Russley School swimming sports are coming up soon! For all the latest information about this exciting event, check out the info below! |
